Persistence in prayer

Looking at Jesus’ parable about the unjust judge and the persistent widow in Luke 18: 1-8, we consider what that means for us in our prayer life, especially when it seems that our prayers go unanswered.

Take time for mental health

At the close of Qld Mental Health Week, Rev Leo presents a message on the QMHW theme, looking at biblical examples from Psalm 22 and 1 Samuel 16. He begins with a story written by Judith Viorst, called Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. Some people have Alexander days every day!

A healthy Church

What does a healthy church look like? What are the qualities? In this excellent message from psychologist Meryem Brown we are reminded about the four pillars of a healthy church based on Romans 12: 9-18. The four pillars identified are integrity, empathy, charity, and harmony.
